NEEDS: Paradigm is an online quarterly. An anthology that celebrates the year's best submissions is published in printed form. We are looking for a wide range of quality fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art and photography for our issues. We are now accepting audio or video files of spoken word poetry as well.
FORMAT: Please send all manuscripts in either Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf). Do not send manuscripts in the body of an e-mail. All other formats will go unread.
RESTRICTIONS: No fiction or nonfiction that exceeds 3,500 words, or more than three (3) poems at a time. We are not considering longer manuscripts. If you are sending artwork or photography, be sure to not exceed 5 MB in size. High-resolution/larger sizes will be accepted if we are interested in your work.
DEADLINES & ADDRESSES: We operate on a first-received, first-read basis. Feel free to submit your work to Paradigm at any time, though we cannot guarantee inclusion within any specific issue. The editorial staff reserves the right to consider submissions for a later issue. The current deadline is April 10, 2010 for the second issue of 2010. SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS: We allow simultaneous submissions to other journals so long as they are indicated as such. If accepted elsewhere, please notify us.
READING TIMES: Once a submission is received, we will send you a notification of receipt. Expect 8-12 weeks from the date of receipt for word of our decision.
PAYMENT: We do not pay for submissions. We only publish and promote work.
